Please consult the following documents for a quick overview of achievements of Poverty-Environment work at country level

In September 2008, the UN Secretary-General and the President of the General Assembly jointly convened a High-level Event on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) at UN Headquarters in New York. As part of the event, the Poverty-Environment Partnership (PEP) hosted a policy dialogue on Environment, Climate Change and the MDGs: Reshaping the Development Agenda with the aim of ensuring that policy-makers provide adequate priority to the critical role of improved environmental management in efforts to achieve the MDGs. The event highlighted progress on major 2005 commitments, including the UNDP-UNEP Poverty-Environment Initiative.  Philip Dobie, Director of the Poverty-Environment Initiative, presented an overview of achievements and lessons learnt of the PEI pilot phase 2004 - 2008.  [Watch here]
