23 – 24 June 2010 Annual meeting for Regional PEI community of practitioners for Asia-Pacific in Vientiane/Lao PDR The regional PEI community of practitioners for Asia-Pacific held its annual meeting in Vientiane/Lao PDR. Government representatives involved in PEI and PEI regional and national staff discussed the opportunities and challenges of public and private investment strategies and policies for pro-poor environment benefits. They reviewed the progress of on-going PEI programmes and discuss related lessons learnt.
The workshop was attended by around 70 participants representing finance, planning, local government and environment government agencies across the region and UNDP Country Offices, UNEP Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, UNDP Regional Centre in Bangkok and the UNDP/UNEP Poverty Environment Facility in Nairobi.
