Public-Private dialogue on New Opportunities for Natural Wealth Management, June 17-20, 2013 in Bangkok
On June 17th-20th the ‘New Opportunities for Natural Wealth Management: A Public Private Dialogue on Green Growth in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS)’ was organized in Bangkok. Poverty Environment Initiative Asia Pacific supported the organization of the event together with the Asian Development Bank Core Environment Programme, the Oslo Consortium Initiative, WWF, the Global Mechanism, FAO and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign affairs. The event attracted more than 100 delegates from government, private sector and development organizations who gathered to discuss the status of green growth in the GMS and how initiatives can be scaled up. The four-day event included regional analyses as well as practical approaches to implement clean technology, natural capital valuations, and financial instruments to trigger environmentally friendly investments.
